Chris Davis is an Atlanta-based, self-taught visual artist born in Weymouth, England and raised in England, Germany, Jamaica and the United States.
Chris’ work focuses primarily on portrait painting, with influences including painters such as John Singer-Sargent, Édouard Manet and Edward Hopper, but also film directors such as Barry Jenkins and David Lynch.
Chris’ portraits aim at not merely depicting his subjects on the surface level, but getting beneath their skin and giving viewings a window into their state of mind.
